Thursday Thoughts

24.1.2013 Edition

This week was a short week - but with two full length photography classes, I think the class an manage.
This week I learned all about the exposure triad.

Always - Aperture
Savor - Shutter Speed
Ice Cream - ISO

ISO should normally under 800. So if you're outside in the sun, the ISO should be low - probably 200. If you're inside a dark building with terrible light, your ISO should be at around 800. Make the camera work for the good photo, don't settle for noise.

I also learned about white balance. White balance is kind of self explanatory. If you're outside, change the WB setting to the outdoors setting, and if you're inside, change the setting to the being indoors setting. White balance will help with exposure.
